ReadWorks helps teachers improve their effectiveness through research-based, classroom-proven practices and curriculum. ReadWorks is an excellent site to go for lesson plans, as well as reading comprehension worksheets to meet the needs of the many reading levels of your students.

Bulletin Board Ideas is a website full of thousands of bulletin board ideas for the classroom. For every holiday, season and special occasion throughout the year, you can find a creative idea to fill the blank walls in your classroom for any grade level. As an artsy teacher, it will be my goal to have each and every inch of my walls covered with posters, artwork and student work. I look forward to creating a room full of color! Tagxedo is a website that turns words -- famous speeches, news articles, slogans, names and themes, even your love letters -- into a visually stunning word cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text. Students love using this website in their free time to create word clouds with style.

 

 

 

 

Wordle is another toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.
